Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge -Jambo House at Walt Disney World is currently undergoing refurbishments. The refurbishments have been underway for some time now. Back in July, we toured one of the newly refurbished rooms, and it seems that the focus is now on the resort’s exterior. During our visit today, there was plenty of action to check out.
The outside of the main lobby was receiving some paint touch-ups.
When we were watching, the balcony railings were being painted a sage green. You can compare the new color with the old railing color on the left side.
Even the tip of the horns on the roof line were getting new paint.
There were a plethora of signs throughout the outdoor walking areas to warn guests about the ongoing work.
If you wanted a quiet, relaxing day by the pool…think again. Workers were pressure washing balconies of the rooms surrounding the pool. It was quite noisy in this area.
Repairs were also happening on the roof of the walkways outside of The Mara. Tan scrim was being used to conceal the ongoing work.
We’re happy to see Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House get the love and care that it deserves, but have the ongoing renovations affected your vacation? Let us know in the comments.
Do we know when the refurbishments will be completed?
