Disney has introduced a new icon on menus around the park to indicate plant-based options.
Sunshine Seasons at Epcot has a new plant-based dessert on the menu that sounds pretty tempting. The Cookies ‘n’ Cream Chocolate Mousse Cup is calling to me from the menu, so let’s give it a try.
The Cookies ‘n’ Cream Mousse Cup is on the menu and clearly marked with the cute new leaf symbol. It’s $5.29, and is considered a snack on the Disney Dining Plan. Even though the dessert was on the menu, we didn’t see it in the display case.
It looks delicious, but it could really use some Mickey ears or something to make it look cute or themed.
This was excellent. The chocolate taste is very rich, but not overpowering. The layer of chocolate cookie crumbles in the middle was plentiful, and probably my favorite part. There was more than enough cookie crumbs to go with all the mousse. You might even considering mixing them together, but I prefer to leave it layered.
This was a rich, chocolatey, cookie-crumbly dessert that I would gladly return for any day.
There is no way I would have guessed this would be from a plant based menu, so don’t let that deter you from ordering this mousse. It’s much better than some of the other mousse we’ve reviewed. Be sure to give this one a try on your next visit to Sunshine Seasons!
It looks delicious. Did you happen to find out what it is made out of? Curious if it’s nut based, and if so, what kind (allergy family).
