We’re at the always wonderful Columbia Harbour House to try the Harvest Chili. Walt Disney World recently announced that vegan plant-based menu offerings were being rolled out resort-wide. With guests having a variety of dietary needs, this is a welcome addition to the plentiful options already on property. Guest can look for a green leaf icon next to vegan plant-based dishes on menus.
Columbia Harbour House is offering a taste of fall with the vegan Harvest Chili for $6.79. The Liberty Square restaurant has a variety of vegan options across the whole menu – entrees, soups, sides and even kids’ meals, the restaurant has options for everyone.
The Harvest Chili contains tomatoes, onions, green peppers, corn, mushrooms, black olives, carrots, and a whopping four different types of beans. It’ a hearty portion for the price, and smells DELICIOUS!
However, the vegetables were slightly larger than what we prefer in chili, but overall still enjoyable. Traditional chili flavors were all there, but we couldn’t help but want a little bit more. If you haven’t already, check out the review for the Plant-Based Sloppy Joe over at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. Beyond Crumbles by Beyond Meat gave that dish a “beefy” taste and texture that we believe would have been a great addition here.
In spite of all that, we can honestly say that we wouldn’t mind coming back for the Harvest Chili. It’s a dish that would be great on those “chili” Florida nights. Menu options like this let everyone have peace of mind when eating at Walt Disney World.
