Adjustments to Magic Kingdom Entertainment on November 9th and 10th Due To Disney Parks Holiday Special Recordings

If you’re planning on visiting the Magic Kingdom sometime this Veterans Day weekend, do keep in mind that due to Disney Parks Holiday Special recordings, adjustments are being made to Entertainment schedules in the park, including cancellations for many favorite shows. Segments for this year’s Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade on ABC, and other Disney Parks holiday specials to air on ABC and Disney Channel, will be taped at Walt Disney World from November 7th-10th.

Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade

Here are the Entertainment changes for the Magic Kingdom from November 9th through the 10th. The following shows have been canceled for both days:

  • Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire
  • Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party
  • A Frozen Holiday Wish
  • Once Upon a Time

The Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show will not include pyrotechnics during both these mornings.

All cancellations are currently reflected on the online calendars for each show.

  1. Will they be filming anywhere on Nov. 9th? What about at Hollywood Studios on the 8th, any changes to entertainment there?

  2. Brilliant….let’s cancel entertainment on one of the busiest weekends of the year, and not extend hours at any parks either…..

    • Seriously, this is what I want to know too! I’m coming in with my kid on Saturday and our 2 MK days are 11/9 and 11/10. While I have an annual pass and could go over on 11/11, that seems like a huge pain, especially since we will have to leave almost immediately for the party (I’m not planning to drop $200 on that for us both to attend). If the castle lights up anyway then that would be fine with me, as I didn’t look forward to standing in a huge crowd to watch the show anyway, but my daughter will be very disappointed if there’s no castle lighting at all! Ugh!
