New Mickey Mouse Meet and Greet Opening Inside Disney & PIXAR Short Film Festival at Epcot’s Imagination Pavilion

The transformation of Epcot has begun, and with it comes tons of construction and demolition. Among the coming additions to the park will be new places to meet and interact with some of your favorite Disney characters, including Mickey Mouse himself! You may recall that the old Epcot Character Spot closed a few weeks back and that Mickey and friends are currently greeting guests in a temporary location in what’s left of Innoventions in Future World.

Mickey will soon be making appearances in a new location at the Imagination! pavilion, as part of the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival. Just inside the entrance to the attraction (the first room, not the video pre-show area), you’ll find Mickey greeting guests with the backdrop seen above.

Mickey is set to arrive at the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival in early 2020. It is unknown how long he will be appearing at that location as a new Character Spot is expected to be constructed in the new World Celebration section of Epcot.

That backdrop looks like it should belong in Studios, but they seem to be moving away from the Hollywood theme.
