Hello from EPCOT! It’s a perfect day out here at Disney World and there is so much to see. Let’s check out what’s going on in this beautiful park today.
We heard lots of construction noise coming from behind the walls around the new park entrance fountain, so we thought we’d take a peek in. Several workers were out and about moving more dirt around and we can see more orange construction mesh and wood frames have popped up.
Over at the old Fountain of Nations, we took a peek and saw that there really is just a crater left where the fountain used to be.
At the construction site for Journey of Water, sprinkler tubing has been laid out to the right side. The large mound of dirt we noticed last week has grown even more, and has flattened out on top.
Before we got off the Monorail, we spotted this cute little smiley face from a sky writer!
We stopped by MouseGear and saw this pair of men’s plaid Mickey holiday pants. A full set of plaid Minnie pajamas for women already skated into the parks, and now the guys can match the gals! The men’s pajama pants retail for $36.99.
The display windows at MouseGear look so festive and sweet with mannequins dressed up in all the new holiday snack merch!
The Art of Disney featured this framed artist sketch and race metal for the Wine and Dine Half Marathon. The art shows a happy Mickey Mouse dressed in American Colonial garb, carrying an American flag and a pie, dashing off to win his half marathon.
At the Land Pavilion, Living with the Land was the place to be! Look at this line! The digital sign told guests the wait was 35 minutes, but it looks like it might have been even longer.
Over by Journey into Imagination with Figment, work on these two planters has ended. The larger planter houses three trees, and the smaller a palm tree. The three trees in the larger planter look like they might be Christmas trees, but alas, there are no lights on them. These may just but what to expect from new foliage in the areas replacing Future World.
The old restroom by the World Showcase promenade is now completely gone, and the new one gains new details each day. We saw some trim around the edges and corners, and workers were busy fussing over elements on the roof.
Concrete work by the World Showcase Skyliner section is moving along, as well. We saw dirt smoothed out flat and a new portion of rebar and wood framing laid out just waiting for new concrete.
Work on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure scurries on, and workers were quite busy, especially in the building for La Crêperie de Paris and on the roof of the restrooms.
Goofy and a guest reenacted the famous “I’m flying, Jack!” scene from Titanic and made everyone around stop and giggle. That or he’s having his pockets picked.
Les Halles bakery in the France pavilion got some new paint on the left two pillars. The right two should follow soon.
The Morocco pavilion’s Gallery of Arts and History’s new sign has finally been unveiled! We can now see that it reads “Race Against the Sun: Ancient Technique to Modern Competition.” Blue cloth banners have been added around the pillars for a festive look. No word yet on when it will open, but keep checking in for updates!
The Germany pavilion’s Karamell-Küche has a new menu sign. The sign no longer advertises a small size for the caramel popcorn. Now, only the large size at $6.99 is available.
Construction walls at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind have changed up, and now we see this large portion of gray wooden wall with two access doors.
That’s all for today, world travelers! Check back soon for more updates. Something new pops up in EPCOT every single day!
