Fresh Cornbread Returns

Fresh cornbread, a staple at Boatwright's in Port Orleans Riverside, disappeared from the menu earlier this year and was replaced with pre-packaged ciabatta bread. It has now returned to the table-service restaurant.

Boatwright’s Dining Hall, the full-service resort dining venue at Walt Disney World’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, rolled out several changes previously announced for its southern cuisine-focused menu earlier this Spring.

When we visited the restaurant to review the new menu, we were shocked to learn that the fresh cornbread had been replaced with the bagged bread. Not only is ciabatta bread not a Louisiana-style offering, but fresh cornbread has been a staple of the restaurant since it opened in 1992.

Guests have been outraged, and Cast Members shared with us that they have heard nothing but complaints regarding this change. It seems Disney took these grievances to heart because the cornbread is back on the menu once again.
