As we reported a few days ago, vertical construction has started on the structure that will become Roundup Rodeo BBQ, a new table service restaurant in Toy Story Land. Roundup Rodeo BBQ will be themed like the rest of the land, where guests are “toy-sized” and walking in the midst of Andy’s backyard creations. The restaurant will be a western-themed rodeo arena that Andy created with cardboard boxes and his favorite playsets. We’re sure some of our favorite Toy Story characters will be making an appearance inside.
Disney announced the opening of the restaurant and released this concept art of the interior during Disney’s Hollywood Studios 30th Anniversary celebration.
The construction site is to the right of Toy Story Land’s main entrance. It’s hidden behind a green backstage wall. It’s easy to walk past it if you’re not looking for it.
At the time of our last update, only one wall was vertical. Today, an additional concrete wall has gone up. At this time, it seems construction has reached a point where it’s moving fairly quickly.
A truck was also present in the construction site.
Currently, there is no set opening date for Roundup Rodeo BBQ. What do you think of this addition to Toy Story Land and Hollywood Studios? Are you excited to dine surrounded by Woody and his pals?
