The holiday spirit has arrived at Pandora – The World of Avatar, where the ex-pats living and working on the moon of Pandora have brought a little Christmastime fun to their alien home, with a display at Pongu Pongu of kitschy holiday décor, combining vintage pieces from Earth with items handcrafted from materials indigenous to Pandora. This is the first year the land celebrates Christmas, and the artisans have really outdone themselves with intricate wooden carvings and more. Take a look!
As you can see, Pongu Pongu is fully decked out with hand wrought garlands of twine and string.
You won’t see any delicate string lights here, but the ornamental camp lights have lots of fun features, like this ACE plaque.
At the top, you see a knitted Santa.
Strung along some of the outer wreaths are wreaths and impressive carved creature ornaments.
The garlands continue across the entire area.
While most of the carved elements have been removed from the Windtraders store, we’re happy to see them make a comeback in the form of these ornaments.
You can check out a walking tour of all the new Christmas additions to Pandora in our video below!
Happy Holidays from Pandora, where we leave out Lumpia and Rum Blossoms out for Santa.
I didnt know Pandora had pinatas. I wouldn’t eat the candy out of there though
Once again, the details in DAK are top-notch.
