PHOTOS: Canopy Pieces Missing as the Current Pin Central Location Prepares for Closure at EPCOT

The changes keep coming for EPCOT’s Future World. To make way for World Celebration, one of the four new “neighborhoods” coming to EPCOT, major parts of Innoventions West are in the process of being demolished. Current areas closed are Club Cool, Fountain View (Starbucks), and Character Spot. We can soon add Art of Disney and Pin Central to the list as the construction site expands.

As we reported earlier this month, Camera Center (which closed in September) will be reopening on December 8th as the new location for Pin Central. With this switch in location imminent, we’ve been on the look out for any sign of changes.

While the white canopy pieces in front of Pin Central are still intact, we noticed that canopy pieces near the former Fountain View have been removed. These missing pieces signal to us that this entire canopy could be coming down soon, so that demolition can begin on Pin Central.

Be prepared to see more of those construction walls as more of EPCOT undergoes its “reimagining.” We’ll let you know when we see any more EPCOT construction changes throughout the park.
