PHOTOS: Stitch City Mural Removed from Mickey’s Star Traders in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom

While we were hopeful that the murals inside of Mickey’s Star Traders would survive the refurbishment, it appears that they have been painted over a muted tone of beige.

The murals had long since been a part of the store’s design, which is now under refurbishment. So far, the teal beams have received metallic paint to match the new, vaguely modern futuristic style of the Tomorrowland store.

The windows that allow guests on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover to peer into the store are still shuttered while work progresses on the store.

What do you think of the new look for Mickey’s Star Traders? I’m still mourning the loss of the Mickey sign outside.
