It’s the most wonderful time of the year to be here at Walt Disney World. The parks and resorts are all decked out for the holidays, but some resorts take their decorating to a new level. We stopped into Disney’s Beach Club Resort the other day to check out their carousel display, but today we took a trip next door to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort to check out their Christmas village. Take a look at the elaborate display inside the lobby of the Yacht Club!
The Christmas village is actually pretty big and very detailed. There’s even a Christmas train making its way around the tracks, too. One side of the display has a classic, traditional feel to it. We can see families around town enjoying themselves. Some of the figures even move, including the man with a snow blower and some ice skaters nearby.
On the opposite side of the display, you will find an entire Disney-inspired village complete with characters.
Many Disney themed Christmas houses line the area, including Elsa’s ice palace. The characters from Frozen can be seen along the side of the mountain.
Look out for Mater.
We even spotted Dumbo!
The polar bears in the mountains seem to be having fun, too. If you look closely, you’ll spot a few of them with Mickey ears and Coca-Cola bottles.
While this display might not be edible, it’s got all the cozy Christmas charm we could ever want. We suggest stopping in to check it our for yourselves, but if you won’t be able to make it, be sure to watch our video tour below.
I guess kudos for trying something different but isn’t the whole point to stretch the imagination, skill and general boundaries of the culinary cast?
Since the culinary cast already has their gingerbread carousel at this resort, this train serves as an addition to their traditional display and perhaps offers other cast members beyond the culinary cast an opportunity to participate as well.
I want to live in that village
