During this year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, we stumbled upon a party exclusive snack called Gaston’s Cheese Dip, served at Gaston’s Tavern, of course. It’s a beer cheese dip with smoked bacon bits and served with breadstick antlers. It certainly looks like something Gaston would make, that’s for sure… and unfortunately, it tastes like it too. That’s right, Gaston should stick to shooting, playing cards, and expectorating, because this snack is single-handedly the worst food item this website’s reviewed in the past 12 years.
Gaston’s Cheese Dip – $5.49
We had high hopes for these, as we’re usually fans of beer cheese anything, and the antlers were a fun, imaginative touch. However, that’s where praise ends for this snack. The antlers are stale, and the ratio of antler sticks to cheese sauce is off.
If you can’t tell by the coagulated layer on top, the cheese was cold. It didn’t even taste like beer cheese. It tasted more along the lines of a bad white wine. If you insist on trying this, whatever you do, don’t get it tonight. Wait until the next party when they’ll be forced to serve fresh breadsticks, and not the ones from three days ago. You’ve been warned.

I agree..I was excited to try this and was utterly disappointed. I was hoping for actual breadsticks but was instead met with stale, antler shaped garlic chips and cold cheese dip. The only saving grace is to save your spare cheese sauce and go immediately over to the treat stand by circus Pete’s, get the snowman pretzel and use your cold, coagulated cheese sauce.
This is comparable to most Disney quick service I’ve been unfortunate enough to experience lately. Too bad; I really used to enjoy these places before they got so terrible.
I hope they do something about it that’s horrible. But there are MANY other things that make the world of Disney special like their caramel apples thick caramel large apples the best you’ve ever eaten😋😁
Have you tried Pecks Bills? We’ve found it to be the best fast food place in MK.
Cool, I can’t wait until tax time I’m going to plan a family trip to all four Disney’s and both water parks before I do ANYTHING. I LOVE…..WE LOVE DISNEY!!!!!!💛✨🙋🙏
My husband and I had the worst meal of our lives at Tony’s Town Square. We have been to Disney 5x now and have a good idea of what we think are the best places to eat. Of course everyone has different taste buds but I trust your review here so we will skip this for sure!
