Turkey & Stuffing Tamale – With Cranberry Relish – $7.75
We found the Turkey & Stuffing Tamale with Cranberry Relish to be solid, but not spectacular. It came with shredded turkey, carrots, stuffing, and cranberry relish and tasted like Thanksgiving dinner collided with Christmas tamales with the flavors coming together nicely. The item could have been served hotter in temperature, which probably would have kicked it up another notch.
Pork al Pastor Naan Taco – With Pineapple Pico de Gallo and Cilantro-Lime Crema – $8.00
We enjoyed this, although the serving was pretty small. The Naan bread wasn’t too hard or soft, but you’ll need a knife and fork as this cannot be eaten like a taco. The al Pastor had good flavor with a slight kick, but not overpowering. The pineapple salsa added some needed texture and acidity. We would get this item again.
Churros Yule Log – $6.00
There’s nothing like a good ole’ fashion Disney churro- and now it’s in a log! This tastes like a creamy churro and we are totally okay with that. There are slivers of white chocolate that add a bit of a crunch, and the festive toppings add some fun holiday flair. This was not overly sweet, which we appreciated. The whole dish had an overall subtle hint of vanilla and cinnamon. We’ll back for another one of these soon!
House-made Horchata – $13.00
This horchata has the same taste and consistency as the non-alcoholic one (more on that below) but just a bit more sweet because of the rum Horchata liqueur. We had a hard time finding the alcohol taste in this drink, it came off more like sweet milk with a gingerbread kick from the garnish.
Habanero Hibiscus Margarita – $13.00
This was a spicy margarita! It reminded us immediately of the Specialty Cocktail Lamplight Lounge was serving during the Halloween season, but don’t worry, the drink mellows out after it sits for a bit. After sitting, you’ll find the drink is actually a little sweet with a floral kick at the end. You can’t taste the tequila, so if you like spicy, this drink is for you.
Non-Alcoholic House-made Horchata – $6.50
Another thumbs up for both kids and adults! It’s a bit like you’re drinking cinnamon milk. The drink also had delicious whipped cream on top, and was adorned with gingerbread cookies in the shape of Mickey Mouse ears. It’s a well done, simple horchata.
