REVIEW: New African Spiced Nuts from Dawa Bar Satisfy with Holiday Heat

Need a little spice in your Disney vacation? If you head over to Africa this holiday season, Dawa Bar has just the thing to bring the heat to your next visit.

Dawa Bar

Anyone who has ever sat a bar, drinking knows that craving for a handful of salty nuts. Dawa Bar is now serving up a little holiday spin on that with their new African Spiced Nuts.

The nuts are served in the same heart covered wax paper as the glazed nuts served on property. These aren’t served warm like some of the other options but don’t let that deter you, because they certainly pack heat in a different way.

What you are served is a mix of peanuts, pecans, cashews, almonds, hazelnuts and Brazil nuts tossed in an array of holidayesque spices.

The cinnamon and nutmeg really hit you hard, especially in the back of the throat but not in an unpleasant way. While those spices are definitely the most present the more you eat the more you start to taste a bit of cardamom. If you are a fan of spice, and like a little bit of heat in your food, these are definitely for you. Especially if you’re washing it down with an ice cold cocktail.

Overall these nuts are definitely some of my favorite I’ve ever tried. The one and only downfall is the Cheeto-like dust residue you get on your fingers after eating, but nothing a napkin or $30 Disney t-shirt can’t wipe off.
