Ho ho ho! Merry Disney Christmas, everyone! It’s the holiday season at Tokyo Disney Resort, and that means a new slate of food to devour and review for you all! So, let’s take a closer look at the tasty treats to celebrate the season this year!
There’s no denying that crepes are delicious. Everyone loves them! Or at least, everyone I’ve ever met does. Seems the Oriental Land Company agrees, because this year the Strawberry & Cranberry Crepe returned to Tokyo Disneyland, after debuting last year. This delicious treat is a mix of fruity sweet and tangy sweet, with an adorable red exterior and a flashy chocolate Minnie bow!
Cafe Orleans is always an excellent spot to stop and get a snack. I’m a real crepe guy so you might find me here fairly often.
One of the cool things about Cafe Orleans is that you can watch the crepes being cooked, right before your eyes! This little machine runs in circles, cooking a crepe in a single rotation. Talk about efficiency!
Strawberry & Cranberry Crepe – ¥520 ($4.77)
Here’s the beauty itself! The red outside is a second crepe wrapped around the first. I guess having red batter out on that cooker may be a problem, since they don’t know how many will be ordered. But the presentation is lovely! That chocolate Minnie bow on top is a nice little flair to this delicious treat!
And how’s the taste? The name balances out quite well, when you combine sweet cranberry filling with two full, juicy strawberries on the inside. The wafer on the bottom makes sure things don’t spill or split along the way without affecting the taste or ease of eating too much, making this a perfect grab-and-go holiday treat! All in all, I’m glad this returned for the 2019 season! It’s well worth the $4.77 in my eyes, and you certainly will not walk away (or with it) disappointed.
Souvenir Pouch – +¥700 ($6.42)
And if you want a cute little pencil case or souvenir pouch, you can add a SnoSnow-themed pouch to your order for only ¥700! Both sides feature Mickey and Minnie as well as the two new additions, Donald and Goofy, celebrating the holiday season by decorating a Christmas tree! And on the back, you can stare at the adorableness that is all four of them in the snow. So cute!
I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to my next visit to Cafe Orleans. This was one treat that’s hard to beat, but that seems to be the theme for most of the holiday snacks at Tokyo Disney Resort this year! The Strawberry & Cranberry Crepe is available through December 25th. Make sure you get at least one!
