Greetings World Travelers! We hope you have your passports handy. It’s a gorgeous December day here at EPCOT and we’re ready to take a trip around the world. Let’s go!
No journey is complete without a map and lucky for us, a brand new map of the park was recently released. The map lists the numerous “Coming Soon” attractions throughout the park.
This map has been changed from the previous versions of maps to reflect the way guests actually enter the park. Note the compass in the left bottom corner has south on top instead of north.
Upon entering the park, concrete has been poured at the first construction site you see. The fresh concrete has been added between the planters by the new fountain, creating a walkway.
There’s a new retro Walt Disney World beanie at Gateway Gifts. It matches the texting gloves we found last week.
Over at Future World West, inside The Seas, a new decorative panel has gone up in the tank’s interior.
In The Lands, new signage marks the new attraction Awesome Planet. The new film will focus on the story of our planet.
We also found a Thanksgiving cupcake at Sunshine Seasons. It’s $5.99 and tastes delicious. We’re grateful for a treat like this!
All around World Showcase, Festival of the Holidays has finally kicked off. The massive Christmas tree is up at the main entrance into World Showcase. Reviews for every booth are now up on the site!
Placards describing holiday traditions of each pavilion and some booths are now posted.
Can you believe it’s almost 2020? We can’t. We keep spotting merchandise for the new year around the parks. We found this 2020 hat at Village Traders.
No worries if you’re in denial about the new year. You can stay spooky with these Halloween hats that are somehow still for sale.
Over in France, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is starting to take shape. Lots of work has gone in the attraction’s outdoor queue area and building facades are beginning to reflect the concept art.
Guest relations windows outside of International Gateway are officially open. They look beautiful and match the theming of the nearby Skyliner station.
In the Canada pavilion, signage has switched over to reflect the new circle-360 attraction, Canada Far and Wide. The signs make it clear that the new film is “Coming Soon.” We’ll miss your corny jokes, Martin Short!
Well friends, that completes our trip around the world! Thanks for traveling with us! Check WDWNT for all of the latest happenings at EPCOT and all the other Disney Parks!
