If you’re looking for some treats or cool meet and greets underneath the Big Top today, you’ll have to try your luck another day.
Big Top Souvenirs and Pete’s Silly Sideshow are currently closed due to what Cast Members are reporting as technical difficulties, and will not be reopening today. The “technical difficulties” were supposedly a fire that broke out in the shop last night. There is the possibility that it might open up tomorrow, but this is only speculation on the part of cast members. We heard alarms going off near the building that might be connected to the issue or the now-extinguished fire.
The main entrance to Big Top Souvenirs was walled off with makeshift construction walls of black tarp, as well as being roped off with a Cast Member standing out in front.
The side entrance by Pete’s Silly Sideshow was roped off with garbage cans blocking the entrance.
The entrances to the meet and greets still displayed wait times, as well as the doors being opened, but the lights were off inside.
Daisy and Minnie are greeting guests together in the third tent.
Meanwhile, Donald and Goofy were meeting guests out by the side of the Storybook Circus bathrooms.
Although this downtime does prevent guests from entering the big top tent today, guests now have the unique chance to meet both Minnie and Daisy and Donald and Goofy together, as opposed as taking individual pictures with each character, depending on which side of the tent you enter into.
Check back with us tomorrow as we keep you updated on the latest “technical difficulties” to befall Walt Disney World.
So I think the real question here is did Patrick Spikes steal the smoke detectors or the fire extinguishers.
The fire was set by Chapek so he has an excuse to replace the theming with a dystopian, white retail void.
How about the fire alarms and evacuation of the Land last Saturday Dec 7
