It’s another day in Hollywood! Today, we got up bright and early to take an exciting stroll around Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Per usual, a large crowd of excited park-goers gathered outside to try their luck at getting a boarding pass for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
Boarding groups were distributed promptly at 7 a.m. and were gone by 7:04 a.m.
The sky looked extra beautiful today as we waited for Batuu to welcome guests.
As soon as the land opened, many guests raced to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Almost immediately, the line snaked all the way through Batuu and created an 80-minute wait.
We headed over to Muppet*Vision 3D to check on the status of the scheduled refurbishment. Surprisingly, the attraction opened — and almost 30 minutes early than usual — to welcome guests for another day. The attraction is now set to close tomorrow, but is still scheduled to re-open February 9, 2020.
But, we did see some planters around the Miss Piggy fountain. We don’t want to see Miss Piggy go, so we hope this is just maintenance.
Next we headed over to “It’s A Wonderful Shop” to see the festive offerings and enjoy some Christmas music. Unfortunately, the shopkeeper was out having cocoa with Santa.
But, there are other places throughout the park to get a festive Christmas fix. This “Noelle” billboard is still up near Toy Story Land.
We also saw this cute duck chilling by himself on a rock in Echo Lake. He looked happy as could be!
We took a quick snack break in Municiberg Plaza. Those Num Num Cookies are delicious!
All was quiet at the Chinese Theater today. The opening of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in this iconic structure is right around the corner! The countdown is on — are you getting excited?
What day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios would be complete without visiting Gertie? She’s looking great!
That wraps up our day! Did you brave the cold this morning to try and score a boarding pass? Did you get one? Let us know!
Yes, we were there on the 26th at rope drop. We were able to get a boarding pass #51. That got us in the line at noon, but the ride was delayed twice during our time in line. We got a picture with Rey while it was delayed. Once we got on it, it was a great experience.
How early did you get to the park to get in?
