We have been keeping an eye on construction work at Walt Disney World’s Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) for months now. As part of an effort to enhance the entry experience to the Magic Kingdom, tons of work has been done to add security screening areas and remove the Walk Around the World bricks.
On today’s trip to check out the current state of the TTC, we noticed an awful lot of progress has gone on for this project. Let’s take a closer look.
On one side of the TTC, we saw metal railing has popped up. Concrete work in this area also looks to be wrapping up, with just one patch of dirt left uncovered. A planter at the far end also looks to be complete and filled with dirt.
The structure to the right side of this photo has purple and yellow paint on its border.
On the other side, we saw this interesting looking wall had concrete adde. For several months, this wall was just wooden framing and rebar supports. Now it is in the process of getting fleshed out all the way down.
The pavement in this area has also seen significant progress, with just the areas around the new wall and a large patch at the far side left to be filled in.
That’s all for today’s update on the TTC progress. Be sure to check back soon with WDW News Today so you’ll be the first to know when all those dang green construction walls come down!
That would the indicator for the area that you get on and off for the trams.
