Construction is racing ahead over on the site of TRON Lightcycle Run at the Magic Kingdom. The building that houses most of the ride track has been getting enclosed recently, and one side is getting close to completion. The paneling on the wall now extends all the way to the corner of the show building.
While visiting the Magic Kingdom, we stopped to watch the crew installing panels around the outside of the show building. The paneling is a combination of dark and light gray, and is being installed piece by piece, working its way up. The colors will fit in nicely around Tomorrowland, although most of it is expected to be partially obstructed by the illuminated canopy.
The crew is hard at work, with panels being installed right in front of us.
The portion of the track where vehicles will launch out onto the outdoor track is also being enclosed. A frame of pillars in going up around the track, and the show building is growing and expanding outward in the background.
We can’t wait for this attraction to open in 2021. We’ll continue to update you on TRON Lightcycle Run, so be sure to stay tuned for more updates. And don’t forget to check out the TRON Lightcycle Run bikes near Space Mountain!
