The pork belly was sadly very fatty and did not have a lot of flavors that contributed to the overall dish. However, the lentil salad was very good and wasn’t dry, which was nice to see. It was definitely the best part of the dish.
This was a disgusting drink. It reminded us of children’s medicine, like banana Robitussin, and the banana purée gave it a very strange consistency. The rum and Applejack couldn’t even save it. This was a big thumbs down for us.
*NEW* Diego Blackberry Margarita: 100% Agave Tequila, Blackberry Purée, Fresh Jalapeño-Lime Juice served with Black Ant Salt Rim – $14.50
This drink has a very nice blackberry flavor that isn’t too sweet. The 100% agave tequila was good, but not overpowering, which complimented the blackberry flavor. The salted rim wasn’t excessively salty and added an additional layer of flavor to the drink.
*NEW* Mexican White Sangria: White Wine, Fruit Juices and Sweet Cinnamon-infused Tequila – $9.50
This drink is very sweet and has an overpowering cinnamon flavor. It tasted almost like mulled wine, so much so that we thought it would have tasted better warm. Unless you like really sweet wine with a heavy cinnamon flavor, this is for sure a pass.
