Disney Springs has been making some changes on the West Side, including the addition of new restaurants. Beatrix Health Foods Restaurant is being built next to Jaleo, on the site of the old Bongos Cuban Café. The Bongos Cuban Café structure was completely demolished not too long ago, and since then, we’ve seen a lot of open sky over the construction walls. Today, among the construction equipment, we spotted a small white tent… the very beginnings of construction at the site.
That small white tent is a good sign that things are happening on the other side of those walls. There isn’t much activity happening right now, but we’ll be watching and waiting.
It looks like things might be starting to take shape soon. While the new structure hasn’t gone vertical yet, we have a feeling the crew is getting ready.
At this time, there is still no opening date set for the Beatrix Health Foods Restaurant. Judging by the current situation, it might be a while before we can sample what Beatrix has to offer. The new restaurant will be located by Food Truck Park, near Jaleo and the AMC Theater. We’ll continue to monitor the progress on this new restaurant and bring you all the latest updates, so stay tuned!
I read from a Disney source that due to the coronavirus and the monetary losses in Shanghai and Hong Kong and now possibly Paris, all construction projects are being put on hold until further notice. We may see that wall there for awhile!
