REVIEW: New Seasonal Butterfly Buttercream Cupcake Springs Up At Walt Disney World

There’s new cupcake in town, and it’s coming up roses!

Spring cupcake gasparilla

This lovely cupcake is a seasonal offering for Spring, and we couldn’t think of a more appropriate treat.

Wrapped in a pink wrapper, this cupcake has white vanilla icing and is decorated with colorful icing flowers. It’s all topped off with a dark chocolate butterfly.

We were impressed with detail on this cupcake, especially the butterfly.

Once unwrapped, we could see that the cupcake itself was yellow cake, and from the way it had been baked, we could tell it had a flavored filling.

Before we cut this beauty open, we took a moment to admire it from all sides. It held together very well for all our pictures, even in the Florida heat.

Once we cut it open, the lemon filling inside was revealed. Upon sampling this cupcake, we were as impressed with its taste as we were impressed with its beauty. This cupcake was flavorful, but well-balanced. The vanilla icing and yellow cake gave it a classic taste, while the lemon filling gave it a perfect summery vibe. We thought the three flavors balanced each other very well, making for a just-sweet-enough warm weather treat. Even the dark chocolate butterfly was delicious!

  1. The Butterfly Pink Vanilla cupcake looks darling and since my wife is a butterfly expert and we spent our wedding night there in the Grand Floridian we’ll simply have to get one! Thanks for the write up. I’m trying to decide if it would be better with a good coffee, tea or a tall glass of milk.
