“Celebrating 25 Magical Years of Disney on Broadway” Benefit Concert Airing on April 13 for COVID-19 Relief Fund

Last updated:

Calling all Broadway fans! Last November, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS held the “Celebrating 25 Magical Years of Disney on Broadway” benefit concert. It has been reported by TheaterMania that the foundation will be presenting a free broadcast of this production in order to raise money for the COVID-19 Relief Fund.

The concert, which will be streamed on the Broadway Cares YouTube channel, will feature performances by our favorite Disney on Broadway veterans, and will be hosted by Ryan McCartan. Broadway’s Prince Hans of the Southern Isles himself, McCartan will apparently be hosting live from his family home. As a famous Newsie once said, wrongs will be righted if we’re united. There’ll be a reunion of 18 Newsies from the original Broadway and touring productions, so make sure you tune in!

According to TheaterMania, the star-studded lineup will include Jelani Alladin, Sierra Boggess, Christian Borle, Ashley Brown, Kerry Butler, Lauryn Ciardullo, Gavin Creel, Merle Dandridge, Lindiwe Dlamini, Bongi Duma, Susan Egan, Andrew Barth Feldman, Bradley Gibson, Whoopi Goldberg, Mandy Gonzalez, April Holloway, James Monroe Iglehart, Adam Jacobs, Ramona Keller, Nina LaFarga, Tamika Lawrence, Norm Lewis, Kara Lindsay, Tshidi Manye, Sbusiso Ngema, Ashley Park, Adam Pascal, Krysta Rodriguez, Michael James Scott, Sherie Rene Scott, Kissy Simmons, Josh Strickland, Katie Terza, Marisha Wallace, Rema Webb, Alton Fitzgerald White, and Syndee Winters.

The stream will take place at 7pm ET on Monday, April 13th. In the meantime, why not warm up with our video of Kara Lindsay and Kevin Massey performing in the Disney on Broadway Concert Series for the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts earlier this year?
