Disney Movie Insiders Temporarily Suspending Points Expiration For Account Inactivity During COVID-19 Pandemic

If you’re a member of Disney Movie Insiders (which, if you were registered for its predecessor, Disney Movie Rewards, your membership may have been automatically transferred), a recent update was released regarding points.

In consideration of current circumstances, Disney Movie Insiders has temporarily suspended points expiration. Members will be informed when the points expiration policy is scheduled to be reinstated.

There are a few caveats, however. Your points will not expire if you have had activity in your account within a period of 365 consecutive days. Activity means increasing and/or decreasing the point balance within your Account at least once during this period. If your account has been inactive for 365 consecutive days, your points will still expire.

While movie tickets are a popular way to rack up points for prizes, with all movie theaters closed due to the ongoing pandemic, you also have the option of accruing points for digital movie purchases via Movies Anywhere by linking both accounts. And as always, any DVD or Blu-Ray purchases will also include a code you can enter for points.

Do you still use your Disney Movie Rewards/Disney Movie Insiders account? (Mine has 75 points sitting around, but unfortunately, there are no cool Tsum Tsums to redeem as most of the mid-range prizes were removed in the rebranding.) Let us know in the comments.

I use mine mostly to get Disney gift cards. In the past I was able to get a cool cap and a couple other things, but they don’t offer those any more.
