With the grand opening of Shanghai Disneyland on May 11, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is also gearing up for its imminent reopening, and thanks to some on-the-ground photos from the Hong Kong Main Street Gazette 大街小報, we’re able to check out all of the similar methods they are implementing across the property in order to promote safety and social distancing.
Temperature check tents are set up just outside the resort entrance, near the arrival hub for all shuttles and the train. Just earlier this month, it was announced that Disneyland Resort Line train service would be suspended from April 10 until further notice.
Temperature Screening will likely take place similar to how it’s done at Shanghai Disneyland, with guests walking in front of a scanner monitored by Cast Members.
Signs are out informing guests that everyone must undergo temperature screening in order to access the resort grounds.
All along the entrance to the park, additional queues are set up with temporary barricades ensuring there is space in between lines of guests.
Along these queues, there are markers on the ground reminding guests to maintain social distancing at all times.
Bright white markers also indicate where not to stand.
Along the Park Promenade, additional tape markers are placed throughout for social distancing throughout these areas as well.
Meanwhile at the resorts, the Disney Explorers Lodge and Disney’s Hollywood Hotel have begun accepting reservations starting on May 15:

The Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel has been open with limited operations and select recreational activities. Character dining recently returned to the hotel with the reopening of the Enchanted Garden in late April. Reservations are currently open for the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel.
Hong Kong Disneyland remains closed until further notice.
