Disney has been vocal lately regarding their stance against racism, stating on various social media platforms the following message:

We stand against racism.

We stand for inclusion.

We stand with our fellow Black employees, storytellers, creators and the entire Black community.

We must unite and speak out.

Disney has also released a statement addressed to its employees regarding the murder of George Floyd, and the ongoing protests throughout the country due to ongoing racial disparity. The letter was signed by Bob Iger, CEO Bob Chapek and Chief Diversity Officer Latondra Newton, and can be read here.

Here at WDWNT, we believe that #BlackLivesMatter is not a political statement, but one grounded on the basis of equality and justice for all.

  1. Disney is just wasting the money they were already losing. What are they even donating to? How is giving random people money going to solve the race issues of the world?
