New Flexible Booking Options and Health & Safety Guidelines Announced for Hotel Guests at Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris has confirmed it will be reopening July 15th, however there are still a lot of important factors to consider if you are planning a hotel stay at the resort during its initial reopening period. Therefore, Disneyland Paris has just shared an update on their booking policies for existing resort reservations, alongside a new set of guidelines for those who plan to stay at a Disneyland Paris hotel upon reopening.

Disney’s Newport Bay Club will be the first to reopen with the resort on July 15th. Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne will be next on July 20th, followed by Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe on August 3rd and the Disneyland Hotel on September 7th. Both Disney’s Sequoia Lodge Hotel and Disney’s Davy Crocket Ranch will remain closed, with an opening announcement to be given at a later date.

As throughout all the Disneyland Paris resort, a mandatory requirement of face coverings to be worn by all guests aged 11 and above is in place in the hotels, and a strict 1-metre physical distancing rule should be adhered to.

Guests arriving at and departing from the hotels are encouraged to make use of Express Check-In and Check-Out services to help control crowding at the front desk, where Plexiglass “Sneeze Guards” will be installed to protect both cast members and guests. Buffet restaurants will be replaced by an all-you-can-eat table service, and the resorts which have pools and gymnasiums will be monitoring them at a reduced capacity. Around the hotels, there will be a one-family-per-elevator rule, and hand sanitizing locations will be readily available.

Guests can expect other changes in-room too. For instance, double pillow covers will be used on the beds and nonessential items such as throw pillows, pens and paper will be removed. Amenities such as cups and glasses will be individually wrapped. Most notably, housekeeping will not be cleaning rooms during a guest’s stay, unless specifically requested, and to make up for this a deep, enhanced cleaning will take place between all guests. Room service will still be offered, but adapted to suit physical distancing measures.

Do you have a booking for a Disneyland Paris hotel, but aren’t sure whether to cancel? For peace of mind, Disneyland Paris have introduced a “Zen Guarantee” scheme, offering flexible booking for guests who may be unsure of whether to travel in these unprecedented times. It is currently possible for guests to change or cancel their bookings with a full refund any time up to seven days prior to their arrival date. Similarly, guests are allowed to pay their booking balance in up to five instalments up to 60 days before arrival, after an initial 15% deposit payment. Terms and conditions do apply, and this is not applicable to bookings with transportation or insurance tagged on, however these are still valuable offers as the COVID-19 situation evolves.

In other news, no updates have yet been announced with regards to the opening of Disney’s Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel, which has been indefinitely postponed due to the closures.
