Ballast Point Brewing Co. and Tortilla Jo’s have reopened at the Downtown Disney District after a months-long closure. We went over to see what safety measures have been implemented.
First, Ballast Point Brewing Co. has opened its doors. In keeping with California law, only outdoor dining is being offered.
After checking in downstairs, guests are sent upstairs to dine in their rooftop garden.
The cashier table is protected with a Plexiglas window, which also features a sign reminding guests to wear their face masks.
You also get a pretty nice overhead view of the plaza.
Outside, tables are socially distanced, with plenty of room in between.
Bar-side seating has been removed to make room for smaller tables.
Each table has a card with a QR code, which leads to a website where guests can order and pay. Be sure to enter your table number to make sure you get your food!
Souvenirs and apparel are for sale. Currently, the shop is not selling face masks. The restaurant is open from 10 AM to 7 PM, and reservations are available via OpenTable. You can read our previous reviews of the meals we have had at Ballast Point here.
Not far away, Tortilla Jo’s has also reopened.
Planters separate the outdoor dining area from the walkway.
Signage on the check-in desk tells guests that masks are required.
Tables are also socially distanced here, with plenty of umbrellas out to provide shade.
Tortilla Jo’s is open every day from 11 AM through 8 PM.
Whether it’s tacos or craft drafts you’re searching for, there’s more options than ever at the Downtown Disney District.
