Local authorities shared an update to the Disneyland Paris master plan, including a seventh hotel and phase two of the Disney Village expansion.

The resort’s seventh hotel will replace the Events Arena, which was refurbished just three years ago. We first reported on the possible new hotel replacing the Events Arena in 2021. Located along Lake Disney, it will include convention space across the street.

Disneyland Paris hasn’t added a new hotel since its opening, although Disney’s Hotel New York and the Disneyland Hotel recently received significant updates. The former became Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel in 2021. Disneyland Hotel reopened after a lengthy royal reimagining in January 2024. The resort’s other hotels are Disney Newport Bay Club, Disney Hotel Cheyenne, Disney Hotel Santa Fe, and Disney Sequoia Lodge, which will be refurbished next.

The new hotel is on a pad of land always meant for another hotel, but due to financial issues when Disneyland Paris opened in 1992, it wasn’t fully utilized until now.

The hotel is connected to phase two of the Disney Village expansion, which was officially announced with these updated plans. The shopping and dining district has been undergoing a years-long update first announced in 2018. Construction finally began in 2022, with the district getting updated façades, new venues, and more. Three new boutiques are opening this year.

In 2021, we reported on the rumored phase two. Some aspects we reported on at the time have already been confirmed, including a new McDonald’s. At the time, it was thought Planet Hollywood would get a makeover, but it ultimately closed and will be replaced by an Italian restaurant. A whole new street is expected to be constructed, leading to the new hotel.

Plans also include office and housing projects in Val d’Europe, a nearby town built as part of Disney’s partnership with France.

Disney Village isn’t the only part of Disneyland Paris getting a reimagining. Walt Disney Studios Park has been undergoing significant changes and will be renamed Disney Adventure World when World of Frozen opens in 2026. This year, its updated World Premiere entrance will open. In addition to World of Frozen, the Adventure Bay expansion includes The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge, gardens, the “Tangled”-inspired Raiponce Tangled Spin, and a new nighttime spectacular. A “Lion King”-inspired Pride Lands area will be added at a later time.

While the Parisian Disneyland Park isn’t set to get any major updates yet, it is hosting a new music festival event this spring and recently debuted a new nighttime spectacular.
