Disney’s Hollywood Studios is reopening this week, and we’re here to see what health and safety measures are being taken to protect guests and Cast Members. With character meet-and-greets suspended, we were curious about how Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge would still incorporate their walk-around characters.

We first saw some Stormtroopers patrolling above the garage in Black Spire Station and near their TIE Fighter.

Stormtroopers have also been occasionally spotted at Disney Springs since it opened in May, but it seems they’ve resumed their occupation on Batuu.

Next we caught up with Resistance spy Vi Moradi. She hung out at the garage and spoke to guests while keeping a safe distance.

The garage is protected by a fence so nobody can get too close.

Finally, we saw Rey and Chewbacca, also at the garage later in the day.

They spoke to guests in between working on landspeeders.

And of course, they were always keeping a lookout for Stormtroopers.

Note that even when talking to guests from behind the fence, Rey maintained a six-foot distance.

It was great to see these characters again, even if we can’t give them hugs and walk around with them. What did you miss most about Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge?
