With the Magic Kingdom beginning to reopen, we can finally get another up-close look at construction on the upcoming TRON Lightcycle / Run roller coaster! And as it appears, things are moving along swiftly.
The show building continues to be enclosed in its gray and blue paneling.
As you can see, track for the future roller coaster extends from the building into the outdoor portion.
When we last reported on the ground back in March, the pillars for the illuminated canopy structure were just starting to go up. Now, the framework connecting the pillars is in place.
From Swiss Family Treehouse, we found a better look at the massive crane working on the construction site.
The attraction was recently updated on Magic Kingdom park maps as “Now Programming,” with a previously-expected opening in 2021, though we don’t know if construction delays during the parks shutdown will push that back.
