Disney’s 2023 Theatrical Film Release Schedule Revealed, Includes Four Marvel Studios Films

Marvel fans have had a rougher year than Thor after “the Snap.” Black Widow was pushed back from its planned May release to November and Eternals will now hit theaters next year, so there hasn’t been much from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2020. But the future is looking bright.

According to @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter, four films from Marvel Studios will hit theaters in 2023 as part of Disney’s overall theatrical release schedule for the year.

The films, all untitled, are currently scheduled to be released on February 17th, May 5th, July 28th and November 3rd, 2023. With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Blade announced but unscheduled, we could see some familiar or new faces that year.

Meanwhile, lovers of animation will have offerings from Pixar on June 16th and Walt Disney Animation Studios on November 22nd. There’s also plenty of live-action fun to go around, with movies scheduled for March 10th, May 26th, July 14th, August 11th, October 6th and December 15th. 20th Century Studios has films set for January 13th, March 24th, June 9th, September 15th, October 20th and November 10th. And finally, as previously announced, moviegoers will head to a galaxy far, far away on December 22nd, 2023, with the start of a new Star Wars trilogy.

It may be a while before we know what we’ll be seeing in 2023, which marks the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company, but we’re sure it’ll be a year to amaze.
