Last updated:

The show must go on at EPCOT, as construction is officially resuming on barges for “HarmonioUS”, the park’s future nighttime spectacular.

A new permit filed with Orange County shows that work will be taking place on “Project K,” better known as Project Kappa, the alias for construction on the “HarmonioUS” barges.

The barges were recently spotted backstage by @bioreconstruct on Twitter as work prepared to resume at EPCOT. Paneling is being added to hide the rotating arms that will eventually be installed on four of the main barges.

When complete, these barges will help to tell classic Disney stories re-imagined by artists and musicians from around the world in a spectacular around World Showcase Lagoon that will incorporate custom LED displays, pyrotechnics, and choreographed moving fountains.
