Fans of nightly spectaculars at EPCOT are anxiously awaiting the debut of “HarmonioUS.” The show was scheduled to launch this year, but the shutdown of the parks due to the COVID-19 outbreak slowed progress. And now after reopening, we have seen construction resume once again to bring this show to life. Through the aerial photography of @bioreconstruct on Twitter, we have a “HarmonioUS” barge construction update for you.

We can see that the barges are out in the waters of the backstage dock at EPCOT for continued construction.

These four barges are in various stages of completion, but look to be built in roughly the same way. The newest addition, marked with a yellow arrow in the photo above, shows the addition of paneling. These will hide the two rotating arms on each barge. The photo below from May 5 shows the arms exposed on the right-side barge. And today’s photo, above, shows them nearly covered.

When “HarmonioUS” begins to delight guests at some point soon, these barges will come alive. Through use of custom-built LED panels, choreographed moving fountains, pyrotechnics and other lighting effects, the barges will unfold their tale. A nighttime dreamscape will spring to life in Disney music and imagery. Many aspects have been reimagined by diverse cultural musicians and artists from around the world, making for a unique experience.
