Good morning from sunny Anaheim! We’re back at Disneyland Resort to check out all the recent happenings on property, so lets take a look!
Disneyland Dr. – Tram Route
Before we made our way over to Downtown Disney for the day, we walked over to Disneyland Dr. to check out the new sound system that has been installed along the parking structure tram route at Disneyland Resort.
Guests strolling down the sidewalk, driving with their car windows down, or eventually riding on the trams again, will be able to listen to songs from their favorite movies and attractions.
Downtown Disney District
We got in line for temperature screenings at 10:20 am. The weekend hours are still 10:00 am-9:00 pm with weekdays closing at 8:00 pm.
For being there 20 minutes after opening, we were surprised by the number of people already in Downtown Disney. Temperature checks ran smoothly as usual!
Guests who needed a morning caffeine fix waited outside the Starbucks near the West Entrance of Downtown Disney.
The benches near the exit of Wetzel’s Pretzel have been blocked off.
World of Disney
Over at World of Disney, the entrances and exits were swapped. Guests now enter World of Disney from the side closest to the Esplanade. The entrance near Starbucks is now being used as the exit.
This is a little bit more effective for guests leaving due to most of the registers being near the exit next to Starbucks.
To join the virtual queue for World of Disney today, you had to make your way over to the tram loading station across the walkway. A Cast Member will direct you and help assist and add you to the virtual queue.
We were missing Pinocchio’s Daring Journey today so we made our way over to the pressed penny machine in World of Disney for a little bit of magic.

Around 11:00 am, Downtown Disney started getting significantly more crowded.
Disney Home Store
The Disney Home Store was using a virtual queue today; we only waited around 30 minutes.
Along with the rest of the Disneyland Hotel “The Happiest Stay on Earth” merchandise line, we found this Disneyland Hotel magnet for $12.99.
It’s a baby blue background featuring raised Mickey and Minnie in front of the classic Disneyland Hotel logo.
Exiting and Parking
On our way out we saw a few groups waited on social distancing markers to take a fun picture with the 65th-anniversary art.
Parking for Downtown Disney was at capacity by 12:30 pm today. A line of stalled cars sat outside the entrance to the Simba Parking Lot. Once a few vehicles leave, they let a few in, but this process has been not very successful these past few busy weekends.
On a hot sunny day in Anaheim, nothing beats the shaded walk back to the parking lot.
