It’s a slow week day here at Universal Orlando Resort, which is a nice break from the crazy weekend crowds we’ve been experiencing. We started our morning making our way around Universal Studios Florida, browsing the latest Halloween Horror Nights merchandise.
We recently noticed that the current HHN anniversary shirts no longer have “30 Years, 30 Fears” written on the sleeve. You might get lucky and find some left overs mixed in, but it looks like the freshly stocked shirts are all missing the printing on the sleeve.
Just a quick stop to watch The Blues Brothers. They always put on a great show, so be sure to check them out on your next visit if you haven’t!
The crowds are much more relaxed today, thankfully. Over the weekend, it was a struggle to find a short line for food, so today we decided to stop in and grab a Chicken & Waffle Sandwich and Krusty Burger from Fast Food Boulevard in Springfield.
We’re going to make our way over to the Wizarding World next.
The mysterious barricades in Diagon Alley have disappeared, thankfully.
Love is Universal. If you’ve never noticed, there’s a window that pays tribute to the Team Members who were tragically lost during the Pulse shooting. It’s a beautiful window and a lovely message.
We decided to make our way over to Islands of Adventure next and grab a quick snack from Snookers & Snookers Sweet Candy Cookers. We tried the Cookies & Cream Cupcake, but it wasn’t nearly as good as the Cat in the Hat Cupcake.
Over on the site of the unannounced Jurassic Park coaster, we spotted more support beams in place as they prepare to add some of the final pieces of track along this side.
Thanks to the low crowds, we also were able to get a photo of this interesting strip of pavement. It’s a perfect pathway from the Raptor Encounter leading to the new coaster. We really can’t wait for Universal to make an announcement and give us some details!
As the weather approached, we decided to take some photos of The Incredible Hulk Coaster. It appears we were photo bombed by one of our bird friends, perhaps the same one we had spotted along the Jurassic Park track last week. The nest is gone and we did not spot either of the ospreys on the track today, so maybe they’ve found a better place to nest.
This looks like a good spot to me.
As the rain came down, we decided to stop into the Navigators Club to enjoy some alcoholic beverages in the lounge, but were turned away and told to go to the bar outside. We were told we had to buy at least one appetizer to sit upstairs, which we’ve never heard before. It was absolutely dead at the park, too. It’s really unfortunate that we could have split an inexpensive appetizer and sat upstairs all afternoon, but not purchase several overpriced drinks. It was raining and we wanted to enjoy drinks in the UOAP Navigators Club, not at Backwater Bar. This was a very disappointing end to our day, so we took our money and went home.
That’s all for this visit to the Universal Orlando Resort. Be sure to keep following Universal Parks News Today for more updates.
