If you’re still under the impression that it is summer, we have news for you. Over here at the Universal Orlando Resort, we’re in full Halloween-mode and ready for all the tricks and treats that await us inside the Tribute Store. The scent of pumpkins and Fall spices fills the air as soon as you enter the second room and we’re taking it all in. In addition to the new smells, you’ll find some new merchandise has arrived, too.

The Wolf Man has socially distanced himself from the other monsters above the Universal Studios’ Classic Monsters Cafe. The center banner has been missing recently, but we’re sure it will be back.

Kang and Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl was one of the attractions that closed temporarily on August 9, and ever since, the alien has been facing out towards the water. He’s been turned around to face Springfield now, which makes for a great photo opportunity.

And looking across from London, we can see that the alien is facing the same way as the one on the entrance sign. It looks good, but we wish the audio was still playing.

Universal Studios Florida has a lot of great entertainment throughout the day, including the Beat Builders. These guys always give a fun, high-energy performance, so we suggest you take the time to see them on your next visit. You can also head over to our YouTube channel and check out the full show from the comfort of your home.

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is preparing for a busy weekend ahead. They’ve set up barricades for an extended queue. The line for the lockers usually gets long, and these will help with crowd control and social distancing.

We arrived over to Islands of Adventure late in the morning and were surprised by how calm and peaceful things were. With the weekend crowds coming, we like to savor moments like these.

Aside from the Halloween Horror Nights face masks, this “30 Years 30 Fears” lanyard is the only other HHN merch we’ve spotted over at Islands of Adventure.

  1. It is good to see the parks starting to pick up again. Since there will be no Halloween Horror Nights this year, maybe it would be a good time for them to look into writing a new Horror Makeup Show. They can make new jokes and update the show a little bit. I still like it, but I think it can be updated. Also, they can look into having the Ghostbusters do meet and greets in the Hollywood section of the park. Maybe they can be permanent there along with the other characters and stars that do meet and greets. One final idea for them to consider is for Universal to have a live studio audience show in the park like they used to do back in the 90s. I think that could help bring in more crowds. The show can be on NBC or on their streaming service, Peacock. I can’t wait to come back to the parks in the near future.

  2. They might as well drop that HHN 2020 merch off to 3rd world countries because who doesn’t want merchandise from an event that never happened
