It’s a slow day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. Crowds throughout the week are significantly lower than they are on the weekends, making for a much more relaxed and enjoyable day in the parks.
We stopped into the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store and found the Universal Studios Fright Nights pin has finally arrived. It has the correct “1991” date on the bottom and can be purchased for $12.
There’s now a paper menu available inside the Tribute Store so you can decide on which treat to try before you get to the display case.
Over in the Film Vault, this reversible Back to the Future lanyard is now available. It’s $12, and the plastic ID pouch is an additional $1.
It’s just a quiet day in the parks.
Central Park Crepes has adjusted its menu to clearly indicate which offerings are vegan and which offerings are vegetarian. Be sure to check out our full review of the menu here.
Also near Central Park Crepes, a small stage has been built.
We spotted Bart Simpson meeting in front of Kang and Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl, which makes for a great background for a photo.
We decided to head over to Islands of Adventure next, and the crowds were just as relaxing and calm. It’s been a perfect day for exploring the parks.
A mysterious, themed box has appeared in Seuss Landing. It’s appropriately themed to Gertrude McFuzz, near the entrance of the Gertrude McFuzz Fine Feathered Finery and the Mulberry Street Store. We think it might just be repairs to a lighting fixture of some sort, but the box is still cute and colorful.
Fire Eater’s Grill in The Lost Continent has new treats on the menu. We couldn’t resist ordering the pita and tzatziki and it was amazing.
The poor fishing Sneetch is still tipped over in the lagoon, and now a bird is using him for a perch.
There’s always time for Butterbeer.
The construction wall in Jurassic Park is down, revealing a fresh-looking fence.
Over on the site of the “Velocicoaster” construction, can see a bit more detailing has been added. Be sure to check out our most recent update for more.
The construction in CityWalk is making progress, too.
That’s all for this visit to the Universal Orlando Resort. Thanks for joining us and be sure to stay tuned to Universal Parks News Today for more updates!
The “Velocicoaster” looks like it will be a fun ride. I really think that Universal needs to redo Kids Zone. They should make it a DreamWorks Animation area. They can have attractions based on Kung Fu Panda, Shrek, and Madagascar there. Universal can leave the ET attraction on the outer part because it’s a classic dark ride. They could update the ET ride a little bit. I’m going back to the parks soon, I can’t wait!
