Welcome to another exciting day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. The sky was gray and the crowds were light, which was a winning combination for a cool, relaxing morning. Our first stop of the day was to the Tribute Store at Universal Studios Florida.

A new keychain and UOAP pin have arrived. The keychain is $14 and features a few of the icons from the last 30 years. If you’re a pin collector, this UOAP pin is the perfect addition to your collection for $12.

There are also two new prints available for $17 each featuring “30 Years 30 Fears” and the Scare Zone artwork.

While visiting the Tribute Store, a Team Member was having a little fun “scaring” guests just by saying hi as they walked around the corner. We weren’t the only ones who jumped and screamed a bit. Thankfully, Halloween Horror Nights has released a teaser hinting “Horror Never Dies” and more Halloween spookiness is coming soon. We can’t wait!

“Despicable Me” face masks are now available in small and extra small sizes. They’re $6 each or 4 for $20. We found them at several locations, including the Universal Studios Store at the entrance of the park.

It was a quiet afternoon around Diagon Alley, so we took advantage of the low crowds to take in some of the magical entertainment.

You can tell that kids are starting to go back to school, because the weekdays are feeling a lot more relaxed, especially in the morning.

The crowds picked up a little more in the afternoon and even though the sky looked ominous, it never rained.

The Halloween Horror Nights cart in CityWalk had accidentally put out new Beetlejuice Halloween Horror Nights merchandise, but it was quickly pulled from the cart.

These low crowds allow for great photos around the park.

As usual, Hogsmeade is busy and many guests are hanging out and enjoying a Butterbeer.

A structure is quickly taking shape over on the site of the “Velocicoaster” construction, and we believe it could be a raptor “transfer gate”.

This looks like a fun job. This crew is always working hard!

Looking up at the tallest point of the track, we spotted one of the local ospreys surveying the construction. We couldn’t see a nest, but it’s clear that the birds are enjoying this quite perch over Jurassic Park.

This sign over in Hogsmeade might be better in Jurassic Park.

In Toon Lagoon, Dudley Do-Right’s Rip Saw Falls was experiencing a brief downtime, and we took the opportunity to admire the track before they refilled it with water.

We’ve gotten into enough trouble for today, so that’s all for this visit. Be sure to keep following Universal Parks News Today for all the latest updates.
