Please pardon our pixie dust…
With the reopening of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort today, we’re taking time to venture around the resort grounds, and also visit the neighboring Disney’s Beach Club Resort. The Beach Club Marketplace closed yesterday for refurbishment. The grab-and-go location will be receiving a number of improvements, including mobile ordering and a new layout, which will also feature a new beverage island. Join us on a tour of the current state of the Beach Club Marketplace, plus its makeshift replacement inside the Solarium.
The doors to the Marketplace are currently closed. Guests are asked to visit the Solarium for select merchandise and food and beverage items, but the Market at Ale & Compass is also open over at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.
Inside, you can see that the Marketplace has been emptied of all merchandise.
Construction workers and management were seen inside overseeing the state of the current Marketplace.
Follow signs to the resort’s Solarium and you’ll find the new grab-and-go location.
You’ll find that the area has been transformed into an oddly homey version of a grab-and-go location, with coffee stations set on furniture and fridges full of Coca-Cola products.
Ice water, coffee, and tea are available self-serve for guests.
Guests can also pick up cans of soda, bottles of water, or beer and wine they’d like to purchase from these fridges.
A round snack stand is filled to the brim with candies, pretzels, and more.
As you walk further into the Solarium, you get a better sense of how the recreation space has been transformed into a merchandise location.
Even more grab-and-go foods like pantry items, fruit, yogurt, and more are available in the center of the room.
Social distancing markers extend out from the makeshift register.
Behind the register, additional items such as resort refill mugs are available. Resort refillable mugs can be refilled at Hurricane Hanna’s in Stormalong Bay and The Market at Ale & Compass.
The Beach Club Marketplace refurbishment is expected to be completed in late September. Will you be staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort in the coming months? What do you think of the new marketplace at the Solarium? Let us know in the comments.
