Marty McFly traveled 30 years into the past inside a DeLorean Time Machine on October 21, 1985 — 35 years ago this October. On July 3, 1985, Back to the Future came out in theaters. Whichever anniversary you plan on celebrating, this Back to the Future 35th Anniversary Merch at Universal CityWalk Hollywood is perfect for it. To paraphrase Doc Brown, the way I see it, if you’re going to celebrate an anniversary, why not do it with some style?
Back to the Future Socks — $12.99
These fun socks are two designs in a pair — one with Marty McFly, the other with Doc Brown.
The other Back to the Future socks are a heavier cotton sock with lightning bolts running down the ankle. Both socks feature the same design.
Back to the Future 35 T-shirt — $30.00
The new retro-styled t-shirt, pictured right, features the 35th anniversary logo on the front. The shirt is white with red accents at the collar and sleeves.
The Back to the Future logo hoodie at left is not new, but it is a great old standby hoodie.
Back to the Future Mug — $15.00
This new Back to the Future mug is sure to impress. It has a sturdy, weighty build that feels very solid and well made. The left hand side features the film logo. The right hand side has a pair of license plates that say “Back to the” and “Future” respectively. Note the dates on the license plates — 1985 and 1955, the present and past settings for the first film.
The outside of the mug is a matte black finish while the inside is a glazed yellow.
Back to the Future Convertible Hoodie — $65.00
This convertible hoodie has a jersey cotton feel and features the Back to the Future 35th anniversary logo on the front.
The hood, like the whole sweater, is made of a light and breathable material like a beach wrap, making for a hoodie that packs away light and easy.
The hoodie folds up into itself and stores in a flap sown into the inside belly area, which then turns inside-out to become a bag with drawstrings. Once the hoodie is converted to a bag, there is still plenty of room within to carry other things.
The bag is also emblazoned with the logo.
Space Zombies from Pluto Lunchbox — $18.95
What an obscure reference this one is. “Space Zombies from Pluto” is the sci-fi story in “Tales from Space” that George McFly is reading when Marty visits him in the night to make him take Lorraine to the dance. Marty in his radiation suit looks like the alien from this comic book’s cover, and playing Van Halen on his WalkMan to melt George’s brain was proof enough. This cool comic book cover is featured on one side of the lunchbox, with the DeLorean and Back to the Future logo on the other side. The OUTATIME license plate is on both skinny edges.
License Plate Frame — $22.00
Last but not least is the license plate frame, which has mini-flux capacitor logos and a quote from the film.
That’s everything for now. We hope you enjoyed this look at some new Back to the Future 35th Anniversary Merch. Go forth, time travelers, and remember – the future is what you make it.
