Construction of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has reached another milestone at EPCOT, as work has begun to move into the attraction’s interior.

Meanwhile, on the outside, even more solar panel mounts have been installed on the roof since we last reported, as that part of the work seems to be nearing its final stages.

Only a few rows at the bottom remain bare.

A black curtain separates the interior from public view.

Peering through a small gap, we can see what looks like the reflective gear that construction workers wear.

While most construction was paused at Walt Disney World due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Disney filed permits to install themed set pieces for the attraction back in April.

When complete, the Guardians will take guests on a rockin’ adventure across the cosmos, including through this “transformation” room, whose concept art can be seen below:

So like an Awesome Mix, the attraction is preparing to “come a little bit closer” to our part of the galaxy soon.
