The world of the Grid is speeding its way toward the Magic Kingdom.

Construction workers continue to plug away at the site of TRON Lightcycle / Run, where the framework for the illuminated canopy has begun to be installed.

The gigantic red crane continues to tower over the show building, which from this side is almost completely enclosed.

On the ground, a new piece of the white canopy joins the track-like piece that we saw yesterday.

The pieces are being assembled just off to the side of the main site, and will be put together in parts as more supports are put into place.

When complete, the panels that will go in the spider web-like framework will glow with light and color while guests race by on their Lightcycles.

Looking over towards Space Mountain, we can see that more track has been added to the already-erected pieces, connecting the two.

For comparison, below is how it looked yesterday:

While it may look like a messy construction site at the moment, for those who can’t wait to enter the world of TRON, it’s a site full of incredible potential.

For visual reference, here’s what this area will more or less look like once completed, based off of TRON Lightcycle Power Run at Shanghai Disneyland:

TRON Lightcycle / Run is set to be completed in 2021, barring any further delays. The Magic Kingdom guidemap does declare the coaster is “Now Programming” which indicates that Disney is planning on opening it sooner rather than later.
