While browsing Minnie Mouse ear headbands at EPCOT today, we noticed something seemed different.

These two sets of ears look very similar, but the ones on the right are new and don’t have sequins on Minnie’s classic red bow.

Here’s a closer look at the old ears.

And here is the new version.

These new ears still have a black base covered in black sequins.

The sequins on the ears of the older headband were laid down flat and followed a circular, polka-dotted pattern. These sequins are slightly raised, with no apparent pattern.

The new bow is a comprised of a red shimmer fabric.

We aren’t sure if these ears will be slowly replacing the pair with the sequined bow, or if they’re just a second option.

We found these at Mouse Gear in EPCOT. Both the old and new styles, like all standard mouse ear headbands, retail for $29.99 each.

These shouldn’t be confused with the other new pair of sequin Minnie Mouse ears that have polka dots on her bow. Which pair of ears is your favorite?
