Here’s a look at the current menu for Lombard’s, which includes an Exclusive UOAP Feature dish in the upper left corner.
The UOAP Exclusive Crab Rangoon Dip features creamy blue crab with Parmesan panko crust, wonton crisps, and chives for $13.00.
The whole thing comes served piping hot, with a medium-sized ramekin filled with dip that’s been lightly browned on top, and a handful of fried wonton chips.
We’re huge fans of the baked spinach and artichoke dip served here, so we had pretty high expectations for this new dip variety.
Thankfully, this new dip is incredible.
It’s creamy and smooth, and while the crab flavor is definitely present, it doesn’t have an overly strong, fishy taste to it.
The dip has the perfect balance of crab and cheese. The top layer is rather dense with Parmesan and panko, which that gives it that nice, baked cheesy top layer… with a slight crunch.
Consider this like a deconstructed crab rangoon, with the crab minced very thin and mixed in well.
The wonton chips are very crispy, and extremely fresh! If you really want to go overboard, we recommend doing what we usually do with the spinach dip here: smear the dip on the complimentary bread they give you in lieu of the butter that’s provided. You won’t regret it.
If you’re a fan of seafood, this is excellent, and even if you’re not, the cheesy, creamy texture and flavors make this dish very approachable for any Passholder dining at Lombard’s.
