“The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands” Performances Suddenly Cancelled at Disneyland Paris

The fan-favorite musical stage show, “The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands”, returned to Disneyland Paris on August 15. However, the show has since been suddenly suspended, with the reason given for the cancellations being “technical difficulties”.

This comes on the heels of the sudden cancellation of “Jungle Book Jive” over at Walt Disney Studios Park. According to fan site Looopings, two Cast Members have tested positive for COVID-19, as was confirmed by a Disney spokesperson. It is rumored that there may be another outbreak of COVID-19 amongst the performers, but this is still unconfirmed.

The German Federal Foreign Office recently issued a travel warning for the Ile-de-France region, including Paris and the Disneyland Paris area, stating the following:

“We are currently warning against unnecessary tourist trips to the ÃŽle-de-France region (with the capital Paris) and Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur due to the high number of infections.”

There is currently no confirmation on when the show will return.
