It’s another busy day here at the Universal Orlando Resort, and thanks to Labor Day, the weekend has been crazy. Yesterday, all 3 parks reached capacity early in the day, and it was no surprise that it happened again today.

Traffic was crazy, and it took us over 90 minutes just to get through the line of cars attempting to get into the parking lot.

Crowds felt pretty similar to what we saw on Saturday, with long lines for attractions and food.

The lines to get a refill from the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines were long throughout the park.

We’ve spotted even more social distancing markings being added.

It’s a beautiful day in Diagon Alley.

The sun is shining, it’s a hot day, and everyone was looking for a little ice cream. Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlour had a line outside the door and around the corner.

We happened to look into the Fountain of Fair Fortune at the right time, and found no line. Did you know you can order Butterbeer ice cream in here, too?

Now that we have our Butterbeer ice cream without the wait, let’s continue on.

More long lines for food. Richter’s Burger Co. has a line that stretches down the sidewalk.

Every food location around the parks had a long line, and we were starving by the time we hit Islands of Adventure. We finally decided to stop at Pizza Predattoria in Jurassic Park, and we decided to give Mobile Ordering a shot for some pizza. Within minutes of hitting “Prepare My Order” on the app, the Team Member was calling for us to pick up our pizza. Life finds a way.

Islands of Adventure was just as packed, especially around Jurassic Park and Toon Lagoon for water rides. It was a very hot afternoon!

Skull Island: Reign of Kong always pulls big crowds. We spotted the line at 160 minutes when we walked by.

Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges was 105 minute wait and the line extended down towards the popcorn cart.

When inclement weather moved in and closed the outdoor attractions, the wait time for the Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man jumped up to a 120 minute wait.

We decided to head back to Universal Studios Florida, but many crowds were making their way out of the parks to avoid the rain.

The weather started to cool down with the approaching rain, and even though many people were leaving to avoid the storm, there were still a lot of people hanging out and enjoying the rest of the day.

After a long day, we’ve earned ourselves a Caramel Apple Mimosa from the window of Cafe La Bamba.

It’s beginning to look eerie around here with low crowds and dark skies. It’s time to make our way out.

We noticed many guests leaving towards the end of the day to have dinner in CityWalk, and the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen had a large crowd of people around the entrance waiting to eat.
