The “Velocicoaster” at Universal’s Islands of Adventure is one step closer to completion with the addition of InGen ride vehicles. We’ve caught a glimpse of the ride vehicle earlier this week, all wrapped up in plastic, but today, the test vehicle was in plain sight as tests continued along the track.

The vehicles are wrapped in plastic for now, keeping them protected from the elements and the rest of the construction work.

Workers were preparing for construction in this area.

Over by Hogwarts, we got a better look at the vehicle’s mysterious shape.

This car was tilted at quite an angle, giving us an idea of the thrills this ride has in store for us.

You can just see the InGen logo on the plastic on the side of the vehicle.

We noticed the InGen logo on another car as well. InGen was the company founded by John Hammond to bioengineer dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, later acquired by Masrani Global, which used InGen’s revolutionary technology to begin development of Jurassic World on Nublar.

Workers were attaching straps to the back of the vehicle as we watched.

  1. I’m so excited! It’s going to be the best pure roller coaster in Florida and finally draw some of the crowd out of Hogsmeade!
